There were two parts to today’s class in the first half we had to conduct brand analysis on a brand of our choosing and break down its current collection, I chose Versace
, as I have recently been quite obsessed with them.
After that, we were shown examples of Manish Arora‘s collection which frankly overwhelm me as it initially seemed very complicated and technical but after the explanation, it seemed to get simpler and I thought it would be interesting to take a deep dive into the new collection and break it down from the technical point of view
It took me a second to get the hang of it but as I proceeded with my task it got easier and smoother
In the second half of the class, we were supposed to design a sneaker for the brand we had earlier analysed which I was frankly very excited about, especially after visiting the sneaker exhibit in the design museum earlier this month, by the end of class I was quite happy with my design
